BRUCE ORR

ProNovos CEO and Chief Data Scientist Bruce Orr is on a mission to bring transformative approaches to construction analytics, project management and financial workflows to construction contractors across the United States.

He does so with the multidisciplinary support of diverse colleagues and internal team members. The list includes veteran construction executives and project managers; leading construction management academicians; construction-focused CPAs from some of the country’s biggest tax and accounting advisory firms; and pragmatic technologists focused on bringing best practices in data science to the construction industry.

Bruce founded Atlanta-based ProNovos in 2012 after a 20-year career in data analytics, including roles at Citibank, AT&T, P&G, Kronos and WiPro Technologies. “I saw tremendous potential to improve contractors’ profit margins through data-driven insights,” he recalled.

Today’s ProNovos platform is the direct result of that epiphany. Through the integration of automated data flows, ProNovos breaks down silos and gives contractors the ability to slice and dice their project and financial information, all in one place. The platform is intuitive, customizable, mobile-ready and cloud-based, putting all parties on the same page and making projects and the company far easier to manage.

Bruce is deeply involved in the construction industry. He has delivered speeches or appeared on panels at major national trade shows such as CONEXPO-CON/AGG and at events sponsored by the likes of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), Foundation Software, the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).

Bruce’s thought-leadership columns have appeared in Construction Business Owner, Construction Dive, Construction Executive, Retrofit Magazine and at AEC-Business.com, and interviewers from Dodge Data & Analytics and multiple industry podcasts have quizzed Bruce on analytics, AI and other topics. Bruce also contributes to academic research into construction data analytics, having signed a research partnership agreement with Colorado State University’s construction management department in 2019.

Bruce belongs to the Data Warehouse Institute; Associated Builders and Contractors; The Construction Industry CPAs/Consultants Association (CICPAC); and the Associated General Contractors of America. A member of CFMA’s Georgia Chapter for the past seven years, Bruce serves on CFMA’s DEI+ Committee, which he chaired from April 2021 until joining CFMA’s national Executive Committee in April 2023.
