We just didn’t realize how much was missing,” Lu explained. That changed with the Data Health Dashboard. “I can go in and see exactly where information is missing—whether it’s budget numbers, cost details, or job-to-date billing. That has helped us clean up the data and build more accurate reports going forward.”

With better data in place, the team began to see results. “ProNovos is helping us analyze the data more effectively,” Lu said. “We can drill down into the numbers, identify what’s missing or incorrect, especially at the phase level, and compare it to the budget. We were amazed by that.”
Project managers, district managers, and controllers now have immediate access to accurate, real-time data. This shift has allowed for faster decision-making and improved communication between departments, including finance and project management.

“I can click a button in ProNovos and get exactly what I need in real time,” Lu said. It saves us hours every week. We’ve been able to stay compliant with the budget much more easily. We can now see the budget line items and address real-time discrepancies.”
Additionally, ProNovos has helped SDAC implement better cash flow forecasting and financial planning processes. Although the team is still in the early stages of using ProNovos’ forecasting tool, Lu anticipates that it will provide even more accurate financial projections as more data is integrated.
ProNovos’ customer success team has been essential to the company’s transition, helping Lu and his team build custom reports and navigate any challenges.
“I’ve built a couple of custom reports in ProNovos, and when they didn’t come out as I expected, I reached out to the customer success team, and they’ve been very responsive and helpful. They’ve helped me build exactly what we need with quick turnaround,” Lu shared.
SDAC is continuing to expand its use of ProNovos across departments. With the finance team already seeing significant improvements in data accuracy and reporting efficiency, the next step is to further integrate the system with other company operations, particularly around forecasting and financial visibility for executives and project managers.
“We are looking forward to leveraging ProNovos even more in the future,” Lu said. “Our CFO is starting to use it more now that we have better data integrity. We’ve built a 12-month balance sheet that’s already improving our financial reporting, and we plan to add more customized reports for our team to easily access. ProNovos is definitely a valuable tool.”
