Action items for getting ProNovos access to Vista Viewpoint
The Vista Viewpoint platform hosted by Trimble has four different product offerings.
Trimble Construction One or Viewpoint One or VRL Cloud
Viewpoint Enterprise Cloud (VEC RDP) is the most recent legacy cloud
Vista On-Premise
Viewpoint for Cloud (VFC) is a legacy version of the Cloud software
Note that these steps apply only to the first three options above.
Step 1
Make an introduction
Make an introduction between your IT contact and the ProNovos integration team by emailing them at implementation@pronovos.com.
Ensure you stay in the loop during this process to be aware of all communications between your IT and ProNovos integrations teams.
Step 2
Submit a case
To begin, submit a case with the following request:
Subject:
Setup ProNovos integration with Vista Viewpoint
Message:
We need to set up our data integration vendor ProNovos with access to our Vista Viewpoint data.
Please whitelist the following IP address: 52.1.167.38 on the TSL VPN. The Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) is: {please provide your FDQN in the format: xxxx-sql.viewpointdata.cloud,nnnn, where xxxx is your Company Code and nnnn is your Custom Port Number}.
Step 3
Create an SQL user
Next, create an SQL user by following these steps:
1. Open the VA User Profile.
2. Click the Grant tab.
3. Select Grant Full Access to provide full View access for the new SQL user.
Step 4
Assign database role
Depending on your access level, you can either assign the database role yourself or submit a second Case with the following request:
Subject:
Assign db_datareader Role
Message:
Please assign the db_datareader role to the {db username} user inside the Viewpoint database.
The Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) is: {please provide your FDQN in the format: xxxx-sql.viewpointdata.cloud,nnnn, where xxxx is your Company Code and nnnn is your Custom Port Number}.
