You will work on systems that help project managers and leadership understand current performance, forecast outcomes, and assess whether jobs are finishing at expected margins. The work requires care with numbers, clear thinking, and close collaboration with engineering and design.
What you’ll do

• Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Document calculations, workflows, and edge cases with precision
• Collaborate with engineering and design during sprint planning and delivery
• Partner with QA to ensure accuracy and reliability in financially sensitive features
• Incorporate feedback from customers, support, sales, and internal teams
• Support releases with documentation and internal enablement
• Review usage data and customer behavior to identify areas for improvement
What you’ll focus on
This role focuses on financial intelligence and profit protection. Areas of focus may include:
• WIP reporting as the primary project financial view, including cost, earned revenue, profit margin, and over or under billing
• Cost forecasting tools used by project managers to manage projected final cost
• Revenue forecasting to understand when revenue is earned across active and prospective projects
• Change order workflows that ensure added scope is tracked, approved, and reflected in forecasts and accounting
• P&L forecasting that rolls project-level data into a company-wide profit view
• Improving clarity and usability in complex financial workflows without introducing accounting risk
What we are looking for
• Approximately 2 to 3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related role
• Experience working with complex business logic, financial data, or operational workflows
• Proven ability to write requirements and ship features with engineering teams
• Strong written communication skills and comfort working in a remote, async environment
• High attention to detail, especially where calculations and edge cases matter
• Ability to turn ambiguous financial problems into structured, testable requirements
• Experience with B2B SaaS products; construction or accounting-adjacent experience is a plus
