The 2026 list saw average revenue growth of 8.58% across all Top 100 firms, up significantly from the prior year. Our partners not only kept pace — many of them outran the field entirely. A year of remarkable momentum

Several of our partners deserve a special spotlight this year.

Smith + Howard made one of the most dramatic climbs on the entire list, jumping 19 spots from #85 to #66 on the back of 68% revenue growth — making them one of the fastest-growing firms in the country. That kind of acceleration is a testament to their team and the clients they serve.

GBQ Partners tells a story worth understanding: despite growing nearly 18% year over year, they landed just outside the Top 100 on this year’s Firms to Watch list. Why? The entry threshold for the Top 100 rose alongside the industry’s record growth. Finishing that close to the list while growing that fast is a real accomplishment, and we expect to be congratulating them on a Top 100 ranking next year.

Grassi climbed three spots to #53 and REDW nudged up a spot to #97, both demonstrating consistent, steady growth. HoganTaylor held firm at #82 — no small feat in a year when the rankings saw significant reshuffling.

CBIZ, our highest-ranked partner at #8, remains one of the largest accounting firms in the country. Holding near the top of a list this competitive is an achievement unto itself.
