Former Procore Exec Brennan Medford Joins ProNovos as Director of Sales
–Medford, who boasts more than a decade of experience in sales, marketing and business development, aims to scale up the growing construction data analytics firm with a process-oriented approach
ATLANTA (11/09/20)–In a move geared toward accelerating its continuing growth, ProNovos has hired Brennan Medford as Director of Sales.
Medford previously worked in sales and business development at Austin-based Procore, the provider of construction project-management software where he helped launch a new segment focused on owners and developers. He brings to ProNovos more than 10 years of experience in a variety of sales, marketing and business-development roles, having worked for DerbySoft, Marin Software, Yodle, Lighthouse 360 (acquired by Yodle) and Relevant Ads, in addition to Procore.
Over the past few months, Atlanta-based ProNovos, which creates data-warehousing, analytics and operations-management solutions for construction contractors, has continued to sign new customers at a healthy clip, noted Bruce Orr, founder and Chief Data Scientist.
“Brennan will further catalyze that growth by bringing best practices from the tech space that will truly benefit our customers,” Orr said. “He knows the construction industry well, and he shares our passion for helping contractors learn to love their data, not struggle with it. I’m thrilled to welcome him to the ProNovos team.”
In his new role at ProNovos, Medford leads the end-to-end sales team and is responsible for all revenue-generating activity. While contractors have made a lot of progress in transitioning away from paper, he said, many have yet to integrate their accounting and other applications into a data warehouse/analytics engine.
“Business intelligence represents the next step for them,” Medford said. “They can take this data they’re capturing in the office and field and drive efficiency by turning it into actionable insights.”
Medford, who earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Oklahoma State University, earned his master’s degree in technology commercialization from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. His studies at UT focused in part on the dynamics involved in bringing beneficial tech to companies in lagging industries.
“There are so many industries that can benefit, not only from new or leading-edge technologies, but also from tech transfer, where you bring in effective solutions from other sectors,” Medford said. “My role at ProNovos includes educating contractors on how to round out their tech stacks with a true business-intelligence platform.”
A native of California, Medford moved with his family to Austin just before the tech boom at the turn of the century. “I witnessed the city’s exponential growth into what is now known as Silicon Hills,” he said. As part of the Austin tech scene, Medford has played an integral role in successfully growing revenue organizations for several startups. “I look forward to expanding our operations at ProNovos with the extensive talent in the region,” he said.
An active community volunteer, Medford is an event coordinator/donor for The Missy Project, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness of brain aneurysm disease in children. His other volunteering activities have included working with people in need as a social services volunteer for the Campus Crusade for Christ and serving as a camp counselor for YoungLife at SharpTop Cove in Georgia. In his spare time, Medford enjoys golf, hunting and live music.
