Foundation + ProNovos—Tips for Boosting Project Performance

ProNovos’ recent webinar with Foundation and Outside the Lines, Inc. highlighted how subs can use cloud-based analytics and project-management platforms to bolster transparency, improve communications and better manage their personnel, materials and equipment.

Below are a few highlights from the half-hour event, which featured…

  • J. Wickham “Wick” Zimmerman, CEO and Co-Founder of OTL, a design-build contracting firm known for its rockwork, themed environments and specialty water feature projects for commercial properties all over the world
  • Bruce Orr, ProNovos’ founder and Chief Data Scientist
  • And ProNovos Solutions Engineer Kevin Bright, who managed dozens of complex and high-profile projects in his 7-year career working for Wick at OTL.

In kicking off the webinar, hosted by Foundation’s Market Development Manager Eric D. Vittardi, Orr noted that efficiency is even more imperative for subs given the intense challenges facing today’s construction industry.

Wick then gave the audience an overview of how, throughout the tumultuous times of the pandemic, OTL has used ProNovos to maintain a balanced backlog and execute its corporate resource plan.

Here’s Wick summarizing the benefits of combining ProNovos and Foundation data in an easy-to-use, cloud-based dashboard/analytical tool.

Bright went on to talk about how, as a PM at OTL, he used that integrated data (not just financials but also the likes of RFIs, submittals and punch lists) to better manage complex projects.

Here’s Bright showing ProNovos tools such as the project overview page, cost-to-complete report, and forecasting module.

To wrap up the webinar, Bright showed off the newest, subcontractor-friendly feature of ProNovos, which we’re calling Procore Sync. It’s a construction data analytics breakthrough that allows Foundation and other subs to integrate data from the GC’s Procore instance into the ProNovos platform.
