ATLANTA and COLUMBUS, OHIO (08/16/22)–Construction data specialist ProNovos and Top 100 tax, accounting and consulting firm GBQ Partners LLC (GBQ) today announced a strategic agreement focused on bringing advanced analytical tools to contractors across Ohio and the Midwest.
Empowering growth through its offerings of consulting, business valuation, information technology and accounting compliance services, the construction group at Columbus-based GBQ will now introduce its contractor clients to ProNovos-created analytical solutions. GBQ will also invest in the fast-growing startup, which has collaborated with more than 100 contractors nationwide to create executive and WIP dashboards as well as automated reports designed to provide yield actionable intelligence in areas such as labor hours, sales, billings, change orders, projected final cost, AP/AR and more.
“These tools will be tremendously useful to contractors that already benefit from GBQ’s more than 70 years of experience on the leading edge of professional tax and accounting practices in construction,” said Bruce Orr, founder and Chief Data Scientist of ProNovos. “We’re honored that GBQ is supporting our mission as evangelists, so to speak, for construction data.”
“While contractors across Ohio and the Midwest have eagerly embraced digital project-management tools, many could benefit by exploring analytics in greater depth as well,” noted Bob Biehl (CPA, CCIFP), Director of Construction Industry Services for GBQ. “Our clients’ controllers and other financial decision-makers are increasingly interested in gleaning more insights from their data, all in one place.”
“Some of these clients could also benefit by stepping back from the day-to-day minutiae of project-management to take a closer look at the bigger picture,” Biehl added. Meanwhile, the automated dashboards and reports created by ProNovos could reduce or eliminate the need for accounting teams to spend hours building and maintaining complex spreadsheets.
“At GBQ, empowering our clients’ growth is a top priority, so we’re excited about this partnership,” Biehl said. “The bottom line is that having more information helps contractors make better decisions.”
